Hi Erika! What do you do at Telko, and where are you based? 

I’m working as a Supply Chain Manager in an international team of professionals responsible for Telko’s Chemicals, West market. It’s very hands-on work – one of my key responsibilities is developing and harmonizing our team’s way of working to make them more efficient side by side with team members based in Finland, Estonia, Latvia, and Lithuania.

I’m located in Rauma, Finland, where my work is heavily supported by our production team who guarantee the smoothest processes and excellent service. 

What makes you excited about your daily job? 

I have to say it's the people: my colleagues, customers and other business partners. I’m especially excited to have such amazing people around me in my own team, Supply Chain Chemicals, West. It's so cool to see how committed and passionate my coworkers are about providing high-quality service to our business partners and striving for excellence. Their energy is contagious. 

How has your career developed at Telko? 

I started at Telko 17 years ago as a logistics assistant, and a few years later I became a logistics coordinator. About 3 years ago, I felt it was time for me to go further in my career, and when I saw the news about the opening for a Supply Chain Manager, I thought my name was written all over it! I went through the application process and am so grateful for the trust I was given. 

In what ways has Telko supported your professional growth? 

Keeping your skills and knowledge up to date is a part of the culture here – in practice, this means that I’m able to learn from others by discussing and listening to different viewpoints. I feel like I can be myself, speak about my ideas and be excited about my job, which is really important. 

What skills or knowledge do you hope to develop in the future? 

Nobody’s ever ready, you learn something new every day. In our team, we learn from, encourage and support each other to find the best in us. 

What is your Telko Effect? 

The "Telko Effect" refers to our dedication to excellence in our daily work here at Telko. We are really committed to going the extra mile to solve our customers problems and deliver the best service we can.  

What is a fun fact about you? 

I love mornings! I start my days in the early hours of the day whether it is a working day or a weekend.
